SESSIONS

If you wish to come and play/sing yourself there is a choice of venues.
If you enjoy the session please show your appreciation by making a donation in the collecting bucket at the venue. Without your contributions the festival may not continue.
There is the Festival Folk Club Saturday only 11.30 - 2.30(ish) at the White Horse with Andy Stone. Get there early and book a slot, but don't forget to come back and perform!
The front small bar at The Red Lion is home for singers. Kitty Vernon and Derek Burgess are in charge and ensure everyone gets a turn when possible. Fri evening. Sat lunch and evening time. Sun lunch time (if you have any voice left) These sessions are always popular so please be patient if the bar is full. Why not sample one of Tim's excellent ales, or cider, or partake of some food if you have to wait.
The White Swan is home to a very lively Irish session. Come and listen or bring your instrument and join in. Titch and friends, now based at the Holmbush Inn, Corfe Mullen, provide the hard core base for this session. Fri evening. Sat lunch and evening time. Sun lunch time
The marquee in the back garden of The Red Lion is the base for lovers of English music. It's in the High Street just up from the library. Bring your instruments along or just come and listen in the delightful setting of The RedLion. Great beers and a magnificent menu on offer.
These are the 'official' sessions for the festival but no doubt you may well find casual sessions occurring at other pubs and venues round the town. Please check with the proprietor first before starting up in case the premises are not licenced for music.
