Venues

Sandpit Field

This is situated on the sea front, opposite the clock tower. This is the main centre for the festival and is home to the Festival Office/Information tent, the concert & ceilidh marquee, craft fair, trade stalls, childrens rides and entertainments, refreshments, first aid, and toilets (bring a torch for night time visits).

Wishing Well

On the sea front towards the town centre from the clock tower. An open air venue for assorted  music and dance displays.

Mowlem Theatre

On the sea front, in the town centre, opposite Station Road.

We are using the main Theatre again this year for concerts.

Mowlem Theatre Community Room

A room that is used for workshops inside the Mowlem Theatre. The theatre is positioned right on the sea front opposite Station Road.

Follow the signs inside the theatre for the community room upstairs.

Catholic Church Hall

Used for dance workshops, this hall is just across Victoria Avenue from the Sandpit Field, by the traffic lights.

The Conservative Club

This is situated just along from the Station, on the left, in Kings Road West, on the corner with Kings Road East.  The room is accessed up the fire escape stairs on the outside of the building. This room has disabled access via the main club and a lift. Please ask for assistance if you need it.

St Mary's Church

The church can be found a bit further along Kings Road West, past the Conservative Club on left and Co-Op supermarket on the right. There is disabled parking in the church grounds but must be accessed from the High Street via Church Hill as Church Hill is no entry from Kings Road West.

PUBS

Most of the town's pubs provide music in the evenings over the festival weekend and are arranged by the pubs themselves. Four pubs act as hosts for festival sessions over the weekend. The White Horse is the venue for the Festival Folk Club on Saturday lunch time only. The Red Lion (High Street) hosts English singing sessions led by Derek Burgess & Kitty Vernon lunch times and evenings from Friday evening. The White Swan (High Street) is host to an Irish session lunch times and evenings from Friday evening. The Red Lion garden (High Street) is host to English music sessions from Friday evening until Sunday lunch time.

PRINCE ALBERT GARDENS

Open air gardens near the harbour. Concert prior to procession on Saturday. Concert 2.30pm procession 3.30pm.
